BOOK A SESSION

For over 20 years, I have worked as a music therapist helping people with various needs achieve non-musical goals through the use of music intervention. One of the most fundamental of these goals has been assisting in self-regulation and body awareness. Over the years, my clients have consistently shown me that when you are regulated, grounded, and 'in your body' increased clarity, learning, self expression, and healing can happen. As music and sound affect us all deeply, yet not on a 'one-size-fits-all' basis, it it important to me to be sure to provide a variety of options so that you can determine the path that resonates with your own needs and comfort.

My journey into incorporating therapeutic sound work with my music therapy practice has been a natural one, and through it I have observed tremendous instances of regulation, reflection, healing, expression and relief. While our primary focus is often deep relaxation and regulation, the resulting "side effects" can make deep impacts for the person receiving the sound intervention. I have witnessed time and again that often the most profound development and healing occurs without any talking. We are all affected by sound in various ways. Being able to facilitate a nurturing space for growth and deep self integration is an honor.
Therapeutic sound sessions can vary from person to person. Utilizing my background in individualized services, I strive to create a safe and effective session designed to fit the needs of the client. While sound healing itself has been used for thousands of years in almost all cultures, it has been incredibly important for me to integrate my clinical music therapy knowledge and experience with therapeutic sound techniques that are rooted in intention, authenticity, and aesthetic creativity that holds client needs first. Knowing that everyone comes into a session with different experiences, needs, and perceptions it is crucial to my practice that I employ services that are based in informed intent, discretion, research, and ethical delivery.

While I do employ a variety of deeply restorative 'ala-carte' protocol-based services along with individualized offerings, the intent behind all is to fully support both the nervous system and the soul. Through one-on-one clinic sessions and wellness-centered music groups and sound baths, I aim to offer a calm, restorative, and informed space for reflection, regulation, and release.

Each session is an informed and personalized exploration of sound, intention, and presence - inviting you to reconnect with your body's natural rhythm and remember your own innate capacity for harmony. The end result is always a non-musical outcome. We just use music and sound to gently and inherently get us to where we want to be. We are built for it.
